Welcome to the home of the
Sequim RC Aeronauts

As of April 8, 2020 we are no longer able to operate from our field at 1747 Towne Road due to the land being transferred to the Dungeness Creamery as part of a planned re-direction of the Dungeness River flood plain. We are attempting to locate a suitable parcel to move to. We have a tentative agreement with the Sequim Valley Airport to allow us to operate from the same runway that we have used for the past 9 years as part of our annual fund raiser fly-in, however this can not be done until the farmer hays the field for the first cutting. We hope that is sometime soon. Members may join the Olympic RC Modelers in Port Angeles to allow for continued flying.

More information will be made available as we receive it.

The Sequim RC Aeronauts is chartered by the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) as Club No. 1766. The club promotes the sport of radio controlled aircraft modeling, maintains a dedicated radio controlled flying field, provides instruction in radio controlled aircraft piloting and actively contributes to the community through support of charitable organizations.

Our flying field is in Sequim, Washington, and is located off of Towne Road north of Woodcock, on the west side. Use of the field is restricted to members of the club, their guest and members of the Olympic RC Modelers.

Membership requires the member to obtain or have a current AMA card (available on-line at www.modelaircraft.org) and to pass a check flight with a club officer or instructor before solo flying at the field.

Please visit us at the meetings or at the field to learn more about the club.

Large or small, you can find an aircraft to fit your style.

Fun
Flying radio controlled aircraft is fun. It doesn't matter what you fly - fixed wing, heli, multi-rotor, gliders, whatever. All types of aircraft and flying are allowed at our field.
Challenging
The sport of radio controlled flying can be challenging, but in a good way. It will help you learn about aerodynamics, engineering concepts and the basic principles of flight.
For Everyone
Age doesn't matter in r/c. From 6 year olds to 90+ year olds, club members all share the same love of flying. It is a great family hobby. Instructors are available to help you get started.
